Lekoil Nigeria Limited and Green Energy International Limited collaborated in a joint venture with the aim of exploring and developing oil and gas assets in Nigeria, specifically in the Otakikpo Marginal Field, located in the Niger Delta region.
The Otakikpo Marginal Field is an oil field situated in the southeastern part of Nigeria. The joint venture partners worked together to develop and produce oil and gas resources from this field.
The joint venture aimed to maximize production from the Otakikpo Marginal Field through exploration, drilling, and production activities. This included the development of production facilities, drilling wells, and implementing various technologies to extract hydrocarbons efficiently and responsibly.
Given the importance of local content and community engagement in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, the joint venture adheres to local content requirements and engaged with local communities for social and environmental responsibilities.
